Crete has so much to offer it can sometimes be overwhelming to the guest with a limited amount of time.  We will be delighted to assist you in your plans and make honest recommendations that suit you.
As an overall piece of advice, we would recommend to take it easy and soak up the ambience of Crete wherever you are.  Fortunately, our hotel is located in a quaint village, with immediate access to olive groves, the mountains and marvelous flora and fauna.  You cannot resist but wander around the cobblestone streets, or hike up the mountain. At the same time, access to the beaches and the downtown bustle is also easy.

While leisurely walks around the area are extremely safe and relaxing we could also recommend hiring your own vehicle (we have easy parking and can also help you with rentals) to gain more independence.
We can show you how to drive to beautiful areas such as the Lassithi Plateau with its amazing nature and windmills, the small villages surrounding Koutouloufari (such as Piskopiano, Old Hersonissos, Mohos and Avdou) and other landmarks and sites (including the Palaces of Knossos and Malia).
 Other local flavored options include winery tours and visits to local producers of pottery, handicrafts etc.  There are also local companies that arrange 4 x 4 Jeep tours and bicycle tours.
